P.O.S.T. #8 - A hazy shade of winter
From the Old Street Tavern in Ludlow, Shropshire, this is everything – everything - you need to know. In the world. It contains news of the beer line-up, up-coming gigs, and the all-important Rupert's Password.
L. O. S. T. – LIVE at the OLD STREET TAVERN
Last week’s gig from Vitamins for Rats – indie folk led by Aoife Higgins - took us by the hand, sat us all down, and then quite literally forced us to chill, with songs about devils, cross-dressing sailors and ghosts,
This week on Saturday we have the mighty Versaints - unplugged, acoustic, and brilliant. If you don't know them, it's worth catching them here while you can, because you won't be able to soon.
Next week we have the Jam Shed Blues Band, who are guaranteed to have you dancing, prior to which we have a book signing by the inimitable Bob Moran, formally the Telegraph's political cartoonist, and a good friend of the Old Street Tavern. His work, all done by hand, is mordant, challenging and above all, humane. Come along for a beer and a chat, and bring some cash for a copy of the new book! Rupert’s password this week is “Residual”.
We continue the increasingly wintry autumn season with Undaunted, and electronic sonic and visual mischief-making from Flip Music.
Have a look at the box office for the full line-up.
