P.O.S.T #5 - What's What

Keeping you in the loop with details of up-coming gigs, the beer line-up, and the all-important Rupert's Password at the Old Street Tavern in Ludlow, Shropshire.

LIVE MUSIC

This Friday Laurel Canyon are bringing their lava lamp-tastic groove, singing canyon classics in glorious close harmony - come and get down!

Following Laurel Canyon we have a busy Autumn of very live music at the Tavern. Check out our shiny new box office for the full line-up.

From 1st October we'll be ticketing events at £10.00 per person, but that includes your first drink, and the rest goes to the band.

GUEST BEERS

CASK

Our wonderful house beers are locals HPA, a polished real ale at 4%, and Butty Bach, a marvelous premium ale at 4.5% – both from Wye Valley Brewery.

Joining them this week are:

Jaipur from Thornbridge - a 5.9% very reliable pale ale, it's rare to get it on cask and it flies out the door, so get down before it runs out.

Session Pale Ale from Staggersaurus Brewery - a hoppy session IPA, which is light, easy drinking and full of hoppy goodness. Mosaic and Vic Secret hops, 4%.

KEG

Regulars ABK Hells, Konrad Pilsner, Rattler Cornish Cider, and Forged Stout are joined this week by:

Artificial Plantation by Pollys Brew Co comes in at 5.0%, and has an §undercurrent of resinous bitterness to balance the all-out attack of pineapple, tangerine, berries, stonefruit and passion-fruit from our heavy lashing of cold side additions. It’s a pale ale that packs the punch of one of the big beers, but condensed to a pintable strength.

Single Hop No.4 (Centennial) from Howling Hops is a soft & juicy 4.8% pale ale from the heart of Hackney Wick. Its base showcases the Centennial hop - a stone-cold classic and godfather of the modern IPA, with piney, dank deliciousness.

RUPERTS SAVE DURING THE WEEK

Between opening on Sunday to 6pm on Thursday afternoon we offer a discount to Ruperts - those good sorts (or at least subscribers to this newsletter) who support us, as follows:
